The MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live in Australia on Paramount+ this Monday, with Snoop Dogg hosting the annual music event from Los Angeles.
Madonna will open the ceremony with her first VMAs performance since 2003, while LISA, RAYE, Gunna, Shaboozey, Sienna Spiro, Yung Lean and GENER8ION are also confirmed to perform.
Madonna leads this year’s nominations with 13, followed by Taylor Swift with 11, with Swift also set to receive the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors while Nirvana will receive the Video Vanguard Award.
Australian representation comes from Tame Impala, the psychedelic music project led by Australian musician Kevin Parker, with “Dracula”, a collaboration with JENNIE, nominated for both Best Alternative and Song of Summer.
The 2026 ceremony marks the VMAs’ first return to Los Angeles since 2017, with the awards once again being staged at the Peacock Theater and featuring a two-hour ceremony celebrating the year’s biggest music videos and artists.
Following the live broadcast on Paramount+, the ceremony will encore on 10 Comedy at 8.30pm, before another screening on 10 at 10.40pm following the Late News – check local guides for times.
