Australian Doctor Who fans will get the chance to see The Satan Pit Extended Cut on the big screen, with the special one-night-only event coming to cinemas this November.
The screening brings together The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit in a newly re-edited, movie-length presentation, featuring previously deleted scenes restored into the story alongside never-before-seen extended footage.
The 2006 adventure stars David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, as the TARDIS lands at Sanctuary Base 6 on a planet orbiting a black hole.
The pair become caught up in the discovery of an ancient evil known as the Beast, while the base crew face the mysterious Ood.
The cinema event will also include an exclusive interview with director and producer James Strong, reflecting on the making of the story.
The screening is part of the annual Doctor Who Day celebrations, held on November 23 to mark the anniversary of the first Doctor Who episode, which aired on the BBC in 1963.
Tickets go on sale across Australia from 9am local time on Friday, September 25, with participating cinemas and booking details available through the official event website.
The special will also screen in New Zealand, alongside cinemas across the UK, Ireland, US and Canada, with more than 1,000 cinemas involved worldwide.
