Seven is set to deliver more than 12 hours of live AFL Grand Final coverage, with a packed on-air line-up and Kylie Minogue headlining the pre-game entertainment.
The 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final will see Fremantle take on the Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Saturday, with the premiership decider live, free and exclusively on Seven and 7plus Sport.
The Grand Final teams are locked in
The Brisbane Lions will head into Saturday’s decider with Lachie Neale cleared to play, after the dual Brownlow medallist successfully appealed his one-game suspension at the AFL Appeals Board.
Neale was initially suspended for striking Hawthorn’s Jack Ginnivan during last week’s preliminary final, but the suspension was overturned on Thursday night and replaced with a $10,000 fine.
Both Brisbane and Fremantle have named unchanged teams for the Grand Final, with Neale included in the Lions’ side.
Kylie Minogue headlines the pre-game entertainment
Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue will headline the 2026 AFL Grand Final pre-game show, joined by G Flip, Michael Paynter and Mike Brady AM.
G Flip will open the performance, Michael Paynter will perform the Australian National Anthem, while Brady will return with Up There Cazaly as part of the Toyota AFL retiree motorcade.
Kylie will also join Abbey Holmes during Seven’s coverage ahead of her performance, giving viewers a look at her preparations for the MCG show.
Seven’s Grand Final coverage runs through the night
The Grand Final gets underway from 2.00pm AEST, with Brian Taylor and James Brayshaw calling the action alongside Luke Hodge and Kane Cornes.
Matthew Richardson will provide goal-kicking analysis from an exclusive position behind the goals, while Abbey Holmes and 7NEWS Chief Football Reporter Mitch Cleary report from the boundary.
The coverage continues through the Norm Smith Medal and premiership presentations, before Seven’s post-match coverage begins from 6.00pm with the 2026 premiers and interviews with key figures from the Grand Final.
Across the wider broadcast, 7NEWS reporters Tom Morris, Theo Doropoulos, Kate Massey and Xander McGuire will cover breaking news, while Sunrise reporter Katie Brown will report from around the MCG and Yarra Park Footy Festival.
The Grand Final coverage is also part of a broader week of AFL programming on Seven, with a special Sunrise broadcast from Federation Square on Friday morning and The Front Bar airing its annual Grand Final Special on Thursday night.
How to watch the AFL Grand Final
The Fremantle v Brisbane Lions Grand Final will air live, free and exclusively on Seven and 7plus Sport, with coverage beginning at 7.00am AEST Saturday.
The match itself begins at 2.00pm AEST, followed by the Grand Final presentations from 5.00pm and post-match coverage from 6.00pm.
