The plan to integrate Prime/GWN into a national unified network will begin on Monday 6 June 2022.
In Total Television, the Seven Network, as a national platform, has moved into first place in total people and in the 16-39 demographic for the survey year to date. Network sources are confident that they will lead in 25-54 in the next few weeks.
With winning ratings and the upcoming Commonwealth Games that are set to unite a nation, Seven executives felt the time was right to move to a national brand in time for the Games.
Introduced to regional audiences on Monday, June 6, viewers in those markets will be begin to see the Prime and GWN logo transition into the national Seven branding.
Sources confirm that progressively across June and July, Seven will rebrand their regional news services to ‘7 News’. The opener graphic slide will still include “The voice of (market)” but under the 7NEWS brand. This past Monday night we saw the most significant change to the Prime7 and GWN7 News look in many years with the roll out of the new network news graphic look.
Additional changes will be reflected across other Prime7 and GWN7 assets and physical signage, as Seven move towards a clear brand that connects all their viewers and customers.
Seven have set the Commonwealth Games as the moment that the Seven branding is reflected across the country.
