Paramount+ Australia has today launched its latest local original drama, bringing a fresh Australian take on love, loneliness and second chances to screens.
Starring Phoebe Tonkin and Brenton Thwaites, romantic drama Two Years Later is now streaming in full, with all eight episodes available from today as viewers are introduced to a story of reconnecting, moving on and questioning whether some relationships deserve another chance.
Filmed in Brisbane, the series follows two people in their thirties whose lives have changed dramatically since they last crossed paths, only for an unexpected connection to bring them back together years later.

Set in a post COVID world, Two Years Later explores the complexities of modern relationships, examining what happens when old feelings resurface alongside the emotional baggage accumulated along the way.
Brenton Thwaites said the show’s appeal lies in its focus on relatable characters rather than larger than life twists.
“I love that Two Years Later is different. There’s a temptation to embellish and enhance new shows with mystery and murder, but I really like the simplicity of Two Years Later and the complexity of these characters.”
Phoebe Tonkin said the series taps into universal experiences through a distinctly Australian lens.
“The need for connection is universal. I can’t wait for audiences to be surprised by Two Years Later, and ultimately fall in love with these relatable and honest characters.”
Two Years Later is produced by Hoodlum, with major production investment from Screen Australia and Paramount ANZ in association with Screen Queensland.
