The Traitors Australia will return for a fourth season in 2027, with 10 wasting little time in opening casting for an all-civilian cast.

The announcement comes less than a month after Kirby Bentley was crowned the winner of the revived 2026 season, becoming the first Traitor to make it to the end and win the Australian version.

As we previously reported following the finale, TV Blackbox understood that The Traitors Australia would return for another season, following the strong performance of its revival this year.

The revived series averaged 817,000 national Total TV viewers across the season, up 69 per cent on the 2023 season average.

It was expected that 10 would confirm the renewal at its 2027 Upfronts later this month, but the network has instead gone early with casting.

The fourth season will return to the civilian format, with contestants competing for a share of a prize worth up to $250,000 as they attempt to identify the Traitors hiding among them.

The series is produced by South Pacific Pictures at Claremont Manor in South Canterbury, New Zealand, with SPP also producing the civilian The Traitors NZ, which has already opened casting for its fourth season.

Gretel Killeen will return as host, with the new contestants facing the same familiar mix of alliances, accusations, banishments and secret ‘Murders’ when the game gets underway.

“All of us at Claremont Manor are thrilled to the point of palpitations to have every day Australians come and play with us in 2027.”

“But I do hope they don’t wear anything synthetic because it’s so much more difficult to dispose of a body dressed in fabrics that don’t decompose.”

Applications are now open at www.10.com.au/casting for Australians ready to lie, betray, seduce and embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
