My Kitchen Rules is turning up the drama in its second week, with tonight’s dinner set to bring another round of tensions, opinions and divided diners to the table.
Seven is enjoying a strong start to the new season, with MKR delivering its biggest launch episode in seven years, while the series has already delivered walkouts and clashes as Alisha and Deanne face scrutiny over their menu and choice of crockery.

Chaotic, brash and full of energy, South Australian “classy bogans” Alisha and Deanne are out to prove their critics wrong when their MKR instant restaurant, Hot Mess, opens Monday night on Seven and 7plus.
The best friends are banking on big flavours and hearty dishes to win over judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge. But while they’re busy cooking, tensions at the table keep simmering.
“I’m expecting crazy vibes,” says food stylist Jane, who hopes the pair will keep their plating simple and elegant.
Then the melamine plates hit the dining table.
The simmering debate over taste versus presentation boils over as the table weighs in on the girls’ choice of crockery. Will Alisha and Deanne’s food speak for itself, or will Plate Gate overshadow their menu and scores?
