Kirby Bentley has pulled off the ultimate betrayal, becoming the first original Traitor to win The Traitors Australia after making it all the way to the end of the game.

After weeks of suspicion, murder and some spectacularly wrong guesses from the Faithfuls, Kirby has walked away with the entire $200,600 prize pool.
Entering the final four alongside Keira Maguire, Krissy Marsh and fellow Traitor Rhys Nicholson, Kirby had one final challenge — convincing the remaining Faithfuls she was one of them.
Rhys was banished at the final Round Table before Kirby and Keira chose to banish again, sending Krissy home and leaving the pair to face the final reveal.
Keira revealed she was a Faithful.
Kirby finally dropped the mask, revealing she had been an original Traitor from the very beginning.
Game over.
“I just won The Traitors when I nearly got banished on day two, day three, day four, day five… in all the days, I nearly got banished every single day!” Kirby said following her win.
The two-time Australian Survivor player said the victory meant more than just the prize money.
“Everything that I’ve done has definitely been worth it. This is massive, not only for my family, but for Aboriginal people, and women as well.”
“$200,000, it does change your life, and I just don’t think that it’s sunk in right now. To win The Traitors as the OG Traitor? Cheers!”
Kirby’s victory also caps off a remarkable return for The Traitors Australia, with Gretel Killeen once again proving herself a perfect fit for the format as host.
A finale that stayed secret
The series was filmed at the end of last year, making 10’s ability to keep Kirby’s victory under wraps all the more impressive.
The broadcaster also held back its usual 10.com.au release strategy for the final two episodes, with viewers having to wait for the scheduled broadcasts rather than watching ahead online.
Judging by the reaction online, the wait was worth it.
Fans have celebrated Kirby’s victory, with plenty praising her as one of the strongest players the Australian franchise has seen, while others have pointed out that the Faithfuls had plenty of opportunities to catch her out.
Either way, Kirby’s win gives the Australian version its first Traitor to make it all the way to the end and take the entire prize.
And viewers have clearly embraced the show.
The finale delivered 665,000 overnight national Total TV viewers, making it the biggest episode in the show’s history, while reaching 1.1 million viewers nationally.
Across the season, The Traitors has averaged 817,000 national Total TV viewers, up 69 per cent on the 2023 season average, while its streaming audience has also reached a record 237,000.
TV Blackbox understands The Traitors Australia will return for another season, with 10 expected to formally confirm the news at an Upfronts event later this year.
