The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) has announced the dates for its 2027 program, with the annual awards celebrations once again set to take place at HOTA, Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast.
The AACTA Awards Industry Gala will kick off proceedings on Wednesday, 3 February, recognising the artists and technicians working behind the scenes across Australia’s screen industry.
The following day, Thursday, 4 February, AACTA Festival Industry Day will bring Australian and international screen practitioners together for networking, professional development and discussions about the future of the industry.
The main event, the AACTA Awards Ceremony, will take place on Friday, 5 February. Presented by BINGE, the ceremony will celebrate achievements across film, television, documentaries and online content from the past year.
AACTA has yet to announce the 2027 host, with Celeste Barber having hosted this year’s ceremony, while Network 10 is expected to remain the free-to-air broadcast partner of the ceremony.
The program will then continue on Saturday, 6 February with the AACTA Screen Careers Expo, presented by Essential Screen Skills, offering insights into careers, training and opportunities across the screen industry.
AACTA Festival will then continue on Sunday, 7 February, with a program of screenings, premieres, networking events, masterclasses, conversations and family-friendly experiences.
Tickets for the 2027 AACTA Awards events will go on sale soon, with further details to be announced.
