That argument you’ve been bringing up for years might finally have a chance to be settled on national television.
A new Australian TV series is casting people with unresolved disputes, awkward social dilemmas and everyday disagreements they’re still convinced they were right about.
The casting call is looking for people with “real, unresolved arguments or social questions”, whether it’s a disagreement with a partner, sibling, friend, neighbour, housemate, co worker or even a stranger.
Examples include everything from being criticised for leaving a plane seat too often during a flight to returning a borrowed car with only an eighth of a tank of fuel.
“Got beef with someone and never sorted it out?”
“Got in trouble for doing something ‘socially inappropriate’ but you think it was fine?”
“We want the stuff you still bring up at dinner parties.”
“The pettier, weirder and more specific, the better.”
The production is being handled by Princess Pictures, the company behind Last Days of the Space Age, Planet Lulin, Superwog, How to Stay Married and Chris Lilley’s television projects.
If the other person involved is willing to defend themselves, producers are encouraging applicants to include them too, with both sides of the argument potentially taking part in the series.
Applications are now open, with hopeful participants asked to submit their details along with a one minute video explaining their unresolved conundrum.
