Australia has another reason to tune into baseball, with Travis Bazzana set to make history alongside some of the biggest names in Major League Baseball.

The rising Cleveland Guardians star will become just the third Australian to appear in an MLB All Star Game when the American League takes on the National League, with the showcase available live on ESPN.

Bazzana’s selection caps a remarkable debut season in the major leagues after becoming the first Australian chosen with the number one pick in the MLB Draft and quickly delivering on that promise with the Cleveland Guardians.

Fans will see him line up alongside global stars including Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Freddie Freeman, Bobby Witt Jr. and Yordan Alvarez in one of baseball’s biggest annual events.

The 2026 edition heads to Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, where the American League and National League will once again battle for All Star bragging rights.

While the star studded line-ups will attract plenty of attention, both teams also boast elite pitching talent that could prove just as decisive.

Australian viewers can catch every pitch live on ESPN, with coverage also available via Disney+, Foxtel, Kayo Sports and Fetch TV, while Sky TV will carry the broadcast in New Zealand.
