Production is officially underway on the second season of Alien: Earth, with Disney+ confirming three new cast members are joining the sci-fi drama.
Filming has commenced in London on the next chapter of FX’s Alien: Earth, created for television by Noah Hawley, with Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell and Jerome Flynn joining the series alongside the previously announced Peter Dinklage.
The trio joins returning lead Sydney Chandler and an international ensemble that includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis and Babou Ceesay. Spruell also reunites with Hawley after previously working together on Fargo.

Ullman is best known for The Tracey Ullman Show, which launched The Simpsons, while Flynn is widely recognised for Game of Thrones and 1923. Spruell’s recent credits include A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, with the actor also set to appear in the next Insidious film.
The first season followed Wendy and a team of tactical soldiers after a mysterious research vessel crash landed on Earth, bringing them face to face with an unknown and deadly threat.
All episodes of Alien: Earth season one are streaming now on Disney+, with season two to stream exclusively on the platform in Australia at a later date.
