The wait is nearly over, with 10 finally confirming when viewers will see Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex’s much anticipated MasterChef Australia guest judging appearance.

First revealed by the network in April, the appearance marked a major booking for the long running cooking competition and, no matter what you think of the royals, quickly became one of the season’s most talked about guest announcements.

Now, as the race for the title enters its final weeks, viewers finally know when Meghan’s episode will air, with the Duchess setting a challenge that pairs seasonal ingredients with the personal stories behind each dish.

An entrepreneur, humanitarian and passionate home cook, Meghan will ask contestants to create a dish celebrating seasonal produce while sharing the memories and stories that inspired it, using ingredients including Australian honey, macadamias, lemons, apples and strawberries.

Meghan, whose recent Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan explored her passion for cooking and entertaining, said her decision to appear on the series came down to two simple reasons, her love of food and her love of Australia.

“What attracted me to the MasterChef Australia kitchen? Two things: my love of food and my love of Australia. It was an easy yes.”

She joins judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli, with her appearance following a season that has already welcomed guest names including Rick Stein, Curtis Stone, Maggie Beer, Jimmy and Jane Barnes, and Robert Irwin.

With only a handful of contestants remaining, every cook now carries added weight as the battle for the MasterChef Australia 2026 title reaches its final stages.

Meghan’s guest judging appearance airs on Sunday, 26 July at 7.00pm on 10.

MasterChef Australia continues Sundays at 7.00pm and Mondays to Wednesdays at 7.30pm, streaming free on 10.
