ABC is giving everyday pianists another chance to step into the spotlight as casting gets underway for its Amanda Keller fronted music series.
Applications are now open for season three of The Piano, with players from every corner of Australia invited to apply.
The series sees everyday Australians perform at public pianos, with acclaimed musicians Andrea Lam and Guy Sebastian listening in before selecting standout performers to mentor throughout the competition.
Based on the BAFTA winning British format, The Piano has become an international success, with local versions also produced in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain.

Eureka Productions, part of Fremantle, is inviting applications from pianists of every age, style and experience level, whether they’re seasoned performers or simply enjoy playing for family and friends.
According to the casting terms, applicants must be Australian citizens or have the right to work in Australia, while those under 18 can apply with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
