Paramount+ Scores Record Launch With Dutton Ranch As Fans Embrace The Next Chapter Of The Yellowstone Universe
Paramount+ has recorded the biggest Original Series launch in the platform’s history with Dutton Ranch, as the new drama starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser surges in both streaming and linear television audiences.
The series amassed 12.9 million global views in the seven days following its premiere on 15 May 2026, the record-breaking debut also saw the series rank as the #1 streaming series for the week of 11 May, based on preliminary Nielsen average audience data.
On cable television in the United States, the two-episode launch delivered 2.9 million total viewers on Paramount Network, including 1.9 million viewers for the opening episode alone. According to the company, it marked the biggest cable series premiere since 2023 and ranked as the top cable entertainment telecast on premiere day among adults aged 18-49 and total viewers.
The series has also generated strong traction online, recording 99 million video views and more than 2 million engagements across social platforms within its first three days.
Its marketing campaign also sparked renewed interest in Eminem’s track Till I Collapse, which featured in promotional material for the series. The song climbed to No. 3 on Billboard’s Rap Digital Song Sales chart, more than two decades after its original release.
Critically, the drama has been well received, earning an 88 per cent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, where it has been labelled “Certified Fresh”. Audience reactions have also been positive, with the series scoring 83 per cent from viewers on the platform.
Set in South Texas, the series follows Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they attempt to build a future away from the events of Yellowstone, only to face escalating conflict with a rival ranching empire.
The move from Montana to Rio Paloma, South Texas, has been widely discussed by fans online, alongside the introduction of the Jackson family, led by Annette Bening’s character Beulah Jackson.
The series stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, reprising their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, alongside Academy Award nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening. The cast also includes Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind.
Created by executive producer and showrunner Chad Feehan, the series is based on characters created by executive producers Taylor Sheridan and John Linson.

Rumours of a crossover involving The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, have also circulated among fans online, although no official confirmation has been announced.
