It’s Thursday, which means a mid-week change in the network’s fortunes. The broad appeal of the Seven’s AFL: Thursday Night Football (Brisbane Lions v Collingwood Magpies) (665,000 avg) (lw 671k) gives Seven another win to start the back half. Thursday Night NRL Live (Sydney Roosters v Penrith Panthers) (569,000 avg) (lw 617k) on Nine is also pushing hard, while I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia (466,000 avg) on Channel 10 is…doing its best.
7pm remains only one-way traffic on the commercial networks:
A Current Affair (562,000 avg) on Nine
Home and Away (556,000 avg) on Seven
The Project (238,000 avg) (6:30pm-7:30pm) on 10.
With Gogglebox Australia (471,000 avg) (lw 454k) on 10 continuing solid alternate (though not competitive) business it meant the network at least slid into third again this week. The ABC kicked on with 7:30 (547,000 avg) (lw 557k), followed by Foreign Correspondent (483,000 avg) (lw 369k) and another episode of Grand Designs New Zealand (387,000 avg) (lw 343k).
