As you might expect, our first topic runs for just a little longer than even we thought it would…and then something happened nobody expected. | S09E11

Ratings are back, which means a brand new TV Blackbox podcast has been run and won LIVE, as Rob, Molk, and Robbo have what one could consider is a “conversation”.

Every Tuesday night in season from 8pm AEDT/7pm AEST/etc., you can join us live on the TV Blackbox Facebook page or YouTube channel. We’d absolutely love it if you joined in – as many keep doing – by commenting on the livestream…which allows us to include a broad sample in the episode to help punctuate our conversation. For those that join us live-thanks for playing along, friends!

Lightning crashes, just like our episode did – see for yourself:

You almost could have predicted what we we going to talk about this week:

  • Seven confirm that, despite the growing public displeasure with the behind the scenes shenanigans coming out as a part of the Lehrmann/Channel 10 defamation case, 7NEWS SPOTLIGHT will return this week…but they have not confirmed that executive producer MARK LLEWELLYN will maintain his role;
  • Continuing with Seven, budget cuts are affecting programs and staffing…that means the end of the former EP of Sunrise MICHAEL PELL and his magical United States mystery tour that seemingly has offered nothing to the domestic business;
  • Panic has set in for fans of the show, as BLUEY makers Ludo Studios remain tight-lipped about the future of everyone’s favourite animated documentary about Blue and Red Heelers;
  • Nine and Foxtel compete to grab a hold of TABCORP‘s streaming animal cruelty competition that also destroys human lives;
  • All-around TV nice guy and Lego Masters Australia host HAMISH BLAKE conveniently lands a profile in Stellar magazine and talks about his reaction to Sonia Kruger’s Gold Logie acceptance speech joke-that-wasn’t-a-joke; and
  • Kevin Perry delivers another exclusive, advising the airdate for the six episode run of JEOPARDY AUSTRALIA, hosted by Stephen Fry and buried on Saturday nights.

We round things out with the much-loved and highly-anticipated TV BINGEBOX segment (upmolks only). Join in the fun and comment below to share what have you been watching…

We’re so glad you watched or listened this latest episode of the TV BLACKBOX Podcast – the cats of Australia have made their choice.

    • Agreed. Funny that he can sit there week in and week out and comment on any show he sees as rubbish, but as soon as the spotlight (pun) is shone on a show he is involved in he gets super defensive and storms off. Robbo was right though about the parade of people who make the show saying it’s toxic, and I know people who have worked on the show who have said the same thing. The brand is tainted whether Rob likes it or not.

  1. Difficult episode to listen to. Everyone has a right to give their opinion, but Rob needs to actually let other people speak and THEN respond.

  2. I agree with Rob. A conversation can include interrupting when there’s disagreement. Robbo’s approach sounded someone abrupt and lecturing. I’m sure you can get back to a better flow. And enough with Molk’s woke nonsense please. We can all do without constant acknowledgments of country.

  3. Very long-time listener, I’m actually surprised this is the first time Rob has taken his bat and ball and gone home. I stop listening every now and then because of his constant fighting with others on the show – can’t call them co-stars because there is only one star of the show isn’t there Rob. I keep coming back to hear Molk’s TV recommendations. I’m glad Molk has withstood all the snide remarks that has Rob confusing decency with wokeness. Please continue with Molk & Robbo and perhaps get back one of the female voices that provided at least the chance at an opinion from 50% of our countries population.

  4. Congratulations to Molk for rescuing this espisode.
    One of the attractions of this podcast is the variety of opinions that you get to hear and normally that goes reasonably well (OK, maybe most of the time).
    Maybe Robbo will have to excuse himself from discussions involving Spotlight?
    Thanks for continuing to put on an entertaining and interesting show.
