Former Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger has been detained for not attending his court hearing.
Orpheus Pledger, a former actor from the Australian soap opera ‘Home and Away’, has been arrested following his failure to appear in court over serious assault charges.
He was scheduled to present himself at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday but did not attend.
The Herald-Sun reports Pledger, aged 30, was accused of assaulting a woman, which led to the court proceedings. His non-appearance prompted the police to issue a warrant for his arrest.
On Thursday, the police confirmed his arrest. “Please be advised that Orpheus Pledger, who was wanted on warrant, has been arrested,” stated the police.
The actor, well-known for his role as Mason Morgan in ‘Home and Away’, which he joined in 2016 and starred in for three years, has had a notable television career.
He initially appeared in the soap opera ‘Neighbours’ in 2011 and was also part of the reality show ‘SAS Australia’ in 2022.
