The NBL Playoff Series reaches its thrilling conclusion on Wednesday night LIVE on ESPN with two series-clinching games that see Melbourne United-Illawarra Hawks and Perth Wildcats-Tasmania JackJumpers face off in Games 3s to determine who progresses to the 2024 NBL Championship Series.
It is high stakes hoops as both NBL Playoff series head to a deciding Game Three on Wednesday evening LIVE on ESPN.
Â
Game Three between Melbourne United and the Illawarra Hawks will tip off tonight LIVE at 7.30pm AEDT.
Â
The United-Hawks series has already produced incredible moments with Game One and Game Two both going to overtime.
Â
The Hawks prevailed in an overtime thriller in Wollongong on Sunday to send their NBL Finals Series to the Game Three decider in Melbourne.
Â
Matthew Dellavedova will look to inspire United to a place in the NBL Championship series, whilst Sam Froling’s 26-point performance in Game One will ensure he is closely watched for the Hawks.
Â
Melbourne finished the regular season on top of the table and will be favored to progress, given the home court advantage of John Cain Arena – but the Hawks will want to continue their dream run under coach Justin Tatum.
Â
The second NBL Playoff series deciding Game Three follows immediately at 9.30pm AEDT LIVE on ESPN with the Perth Wildcats facing the Tasmania JackJumpers.
Â
Tasmania were far too strong for Perth on their home court on Monday night – but doing the job again at Perth’s RAC Arena against a parochial home crowd in Western Australia is a different prospect.
Â
Perth will once again be led by NBL MVP Bryce Cotton. His battle with Tasmania’s Milton Doyle will be mouth watering as the Wildcats respond to the 102-94-point loss in Game Two of the NBL Playoff Series.Â
Â
The JackJumpers have reached this stage of the finals every year since entering the NBL and with victory can secure a second NBL Championship series appearance in just three seasons.
Â
Of the last four games involving the Wildcats and JackJumpers, Perth have won three of them, including the last two at RAC Arena.
