ESPN is the place to be this weekend for all the heart stopping finals action from the NBL Finals Series, exclusive coverage of the WNBL Grand Final, the UFC 299: O’Malley vs Vera 2 Prelims, LeBron vs Giannis in the NBA, Live NHL, NCAA College hoops and much more.

Your Home for Hoops delivers a blockbuster slate of basketball action this weekend as the NBL Finals Series, WNBL Grand Final Series, NBA and NCAA College Basketball hit the court.

Saturday March 9 sees a huge live NBA double header from 11.30am AEDT when the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves face off.

The headline game follows immediately live at 2.00pm AEDT on ESPN with LeBron James tackling Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks collide.

LeBron James created history last week, reaching 40,000 career points – but LeBron and the Lakers will be tested by the Bucks, who currently sit second in the Eastern Conference and hold a six-game win streak.

Sunday March 10 brings almost 20 hours of live sport across ESPN and ESPN2.

The UFC 299: O’Malley vs Vera II Prelims arrive live from Miami at 12pm AEDT on ESPN.

Sunday’s Prelim card is headlined by a heavyweight showdown between #5 Curtis Blaydes and #7 Jailton Almedia and former champion Rafael Dos Anjos features in the lightweight division.

The NBL Finals Series continues as well, ESPN enjoying exclusive coverage of Game Two in the NBL Playoff Series between the Illawarra Hawks and Melbourne United from 3pm AEDT live on ESPN.

Game One in the WNBL Grand Final series also tips off from 3.30pm AEDT live and exclusive over on ESPN2 – when the Perth Lynx meet the Southside Flyers.

After finishing fourth in the regular season the Lynx have stormed through the WNBL Finals. The Lynx downed the 2023/24 WNBL minor premiers and defending champion, Townsville Fire, in two games to reach the Grand Final.

The Flyers needed three games to see off the Melbourne Boomers – Australian basketball legend Lauren Jackson hit 38 points in Semi Final: Game Three on Wednesday evening, signaling her red hot form.

Monday March 11 continues the hoops fever into the start of the working week, with three big games live across the day.

A live NBA double header from 10am AEDT sees two games back-to-back involving the New York Knicks-Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers facing the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Anaheim Ducks and New York Islanders clash in live National Hockey League action over on ESPN2.

Then, Monday’s sports feast concludes at 7.30pm AEDT with NBL Playoff Series Game Two between the Perth Wildcats and Tasmania JackJumpers live and exclusive to ESPN.
