Audience tickets have been released this week for what appears to be a new season of Taskmaster Australia, seemingly renewed for a third season before the second has premiered.
The Channel 10 comedy series premiered in early February last year, based on the international cult series of the same name, and is hosted by Comedian Tom Gleeson with his trusty co-host Tom Cashman.
The Audience Call reads:
“We are thrilled to announce that Taskmaster Australia is back for another hilarious season with all new zany challenges, plenty of rib-tickling banter, and competitive camaraderie that has made Taskmaster a worldwide sensation!”
“It’s Sydney’s turn again to be a part of the live studio audience and witness first hand the incredible duo of Tom Cashman and Tom Gleeson as they take the helm once again and deliver comedic gold alongside a brand new panel of Australian comedians (yet to be announced).”
The fresh crop of comedians taking on the Taskmaster challenges for Season 2 include Peter Helliar, Mel Buttle, Aaron Chen, Concetta Caristo and Rhys Nicholson, with the show set to premiere in the coming months.
Returning to Sydney this season, the show films at NEP Studios in Eveleigh with recording dates scheduled between Monday 18th – Friday 22nd March 2024.
