The CommGames lifted Seven to the nightly win as MKR didn’t do much to help.

The season twelve premiere of MKR (503,000) didn’t quite do it for Seven, slipping into third in primetime, however it did lift marginally on last year’s premiere. It was the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (697,000 Night; 396,000 Late) that drew all the audiences as lots of Aussies competed for Gold on the second last night of the competition.
Seven first in both primary (25.4%) and network (38.6%) rankings.

The season eighteen premiere of The Block (867,000) did the business for Nine, sweeping primetime and lifting 16% year on year. A chunk of that audience carried into 60 Minutes (445,000) as the rest of the night – The First 48 (96,000), Suspect Number 1 (64,000), and First Responders (34,000) – were heavily CommGames affected.
Nine second in both primary (21.3%) and network (27.2%) rankings.

The Sunday Project (248,000 6:30pm; 314,000 7pm) continues its poor run for 10, however the high point came from the season four premiere of The Masked Singer Australia (560,000 avg (522,000 show; 598,00 reveal)) which landed second in primetime…even though it was down 20% on last year’s premiere. NCIS: Hawaii (169,000) and a double repeat of FBI (93,000; 71,000) closed out the evening.
10 third in both primary (10%) and network (15%) rankings.

The season ten premiere of Spicks and Specks (449,000) headlined the ABC’s night, followed by the finale of Mystery Road: Origin (263,000), the latter doing good business in TotalTV numbers and the former expected to do the same. MOVIE: Suffragette (92,000) and 8 Nights Out West (28,000), along with a repeat of Fires (DNR), finished out the night.
ABC fourth in both primary (9.8%) and network (12.9%) rankings.

SBS launch their night with Mysteries from the Grave: Titanic (110,000), then turn into repeats of Hindenberg – The New Evidence (75,000) and MOVIE: Billy Graham (36,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (3.4%) and network (6.3%) rankings.
