10’s new reality offering beat Red Faces and humbled Nine’s geeks and beauties.

Seven’s News product really helped get them across the line. The Best of The Best and Worst of Red Faces (592,000) drew a pretty good audience though slides into second behind 10 in primetime. 7News Spotlight (299,000) also moves into second in the later night behind Nine. A repeat of Murder In The Outback (160,000) wins its slot however that doesn’t continue to the late night for The Blacklist (36,000).
Seven first in both primary (20.4%) and network (27.3%) rankings.

Beauty and the Geek Australia (476,000) premieres to almost HALF what it did last year…41% down year-on-year and fourth in primetime! The BVOD and catch-up numbers better be worth it for Nine. 60 Minutes (383,000) wins its slot though sits low on past glories. The night then fills up with true crime that doesn’t draw anything sizeable: The First 48 (133,000), Unspeakable Crime: The Killing of Jessica Chambers (74,000), and Fred and Rose West: House of Horrors (48,000).
Nine second in both primary (19.4%) and network (26.5%) rankings.

The Sunday Project (244,000 6:30pm; 386,000 7pm) remains low for 10, even though the premiere of Hunted Australia (619,000) wins primetime and looks to cement itself as the nation’s big new reality addiction. NCIS Hawaii (222,000) appeals only to fans and a repeat of FBI (129,000) appeals almost to nobody.
10 third in both primary (15.3%) and network (20.9%) rankings.

Joanna Lumley’s Great Cities of the World (488,000) slips into third in primetime for the ABC. The night of drama continues with Mystery Road: Origin (328,000) lifting on last week’s smaller overnight numbers, as Small Axe (83,000) lifts also.
ABC fourth in both primary (11.5%) and network (15.2%) rankings.

Lost World of Angkor Wat (126,000) opens the account for SBS before they transition into a big night of cycling with Tour de France – Stage 15 (115,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (5.9%) and network (10.1%) rankings.
