From executive producer Jed Mercurio (Bodyguard, Line of Duty), Bloodlands is a gripping, four-part thriller set in Northern Ireland.

When an expensive car is pulled from the sea, veteran Northern Ireland police detective Tom Brannick (James Nesbitt – The Missing, Cold Feet) instantly sees the connection to an infamous cold case that holds enormous personal significance for him – a notorious and long-buried series of mysterious disappearances.

Bloodlands follows Tom Brannick’s obsessive campaign to identify and unmask the semi-mythical figure behind these events – a figure code-named Goliath, after the giant shipyard cranes, Samson and Goliath that dominate the Belfast skyline. It’s a case that comes from Tom’s – and his country’s – dark past.

Bloodlands – New Series Wednesday, 26 May at 9:40pm on SBS and SBS On Demand (new episodes coming weekly)

  1. WTF does SBS mean by “weekly”? Do we just check every day in the off chance this this is the day the next episode will be added? JFC their web site is useless.

    • Hi Garry – it means episodes are delivered once a week. Like if you were watching it on linear broadcast TV.
