Australian subscribers to Paramount+ will see higher fees starting 28th September, as Last King Of The Cross returns.

Paramount+ has joined the growing list of streaming platforms raising subscription fees in Australia, citing increasing financial pressures in the sector.

This week, subscribers were notified that the cost of the Standard monthly plan will rise from $9.99 AUD to $10.99 AUD—an increase of $1 AUD per month. The updated pricing will take effect from the first renewal on or after 28th September 2024, although promotional discounts may still apply where relevant.

The price adjustment coincides with the service gearing up for the return of the popular Australian drama Last King Of The Cross. Additionally, Paramount+ has recently secured a renewal of its partnership with Football Australia, further bolstering its content offerings.

However, the streaming platform has also drawn criticism from customers following the removal of several Australian titles. These include One Night, The Secrets She Keeps, Spreadsheet, The Bridge, Couples Therapy, The Betoota Advocate Presents, Six Festivals, and Undressed with Kathryn Eisman.
