When there’s no AFL or NRL the back half of the week really struggles for the two (three) commercial networks.

*** NOTE: NEW METRICS AND REPORTS ***

  • Total TV Overnight Top 30 and Consolidated 7 Top 30 reach is calculated using cumulative unique audiences watching 1 min of broadcast TV and 15 sec of BVOD.
  • Total TV National audience is calculated using the audience average for the program as time-coded by the Network across 5CM and all regional markets nationally watching on broadcast TV.
  • BVOD national audience is calculated using the total number of minutes watched (multiplied by co-viewing factor) divided by the length of the program.

PRIMETIME ANALYSIS

A mixed night in the primetime hour, though it was Seven that took the win with Home and Away – Late (1,103,000 reach | 668,000 avg), ahead of RBT (1,498,000 reach | 638,000 avg) on Nine–the reach debacle says otherwise–and The Dog House Australia (781,000 reach | 396,000 avg) on 10.

Emergency (1,162,000 reach | 492,000 avg) on Nine reversed the lead-in situation as it just pipped Mrs Brown’s Boys (759,000 reach | 436,000 avg) on Seven in both national average and reach. The Dog Hospital with Graeme Hall (526,000 reach | 200,000 avg) was again well off the pace on 10.

The Project (683,000 reach | 283,000 avg) on 10.
