Uncover the comedic brilliance of Noel Fielding in “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” on Apple TV+. Premieres March 1st.
Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its upcoming comedy-adventure series, “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin.” Set to premiere on Friday, 1 March, this six-episode Apple Original stars Noel Fielding (“The Mighty Boosh,” “The Great British Bake Off”) as the legendary British highwayman.
In this irreverent retelling set in the 18th century, Dick Turpin (Fielding) finds himself thrust into wildly absurd escapades as the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws. His mission: outwit the corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker, Jonathan Wilde (played by Hugh Bonneville).
Turpin’s success is defined by his charm, showmanship, and great hair rather than his prowess as a highway robber. Alongside his gang of lovable rogues, he navigates the highs and lows of his new endeavors, including a brush with celebrity, all while evading the clutches of the relentless thief-taker.
The ensemble cast features notable talents such as Ellie White, Marc Wootton, Duayne Boachie, Tamsin Greig, Asim Chaudhry, Dolly Wells, Joe Wilkinson, Mark Heap, Geoff McGivern, Michael Fielding, Samuel Leakey, and Kiri Flaherty.
“The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin” is produced by Apple Studios and Big Talk Studios, with creators Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis, and Stuart Lane at the helm. The series is executive produced by Kenton Allen, Noel Fielding, Victoria Grew, and Ben Palmer.
Directorial duties are split between Ben Palmer (Episodes 1-3) and George Kane (Episodes 4-6), with writing credits going to Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis, Stuart Lane, Noel Fielding, Jon Brittain, and Richard Naylor.
