Apple TV+ Unveils “Constellation” Trailer, Starring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks
Apple TV+ has released the trailer for their new series, “Constellation”, a gripping eight-part drama filled with psychological thrills and a conspiracy-laden plot.
The series, featuring renowned actors Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks, is set for a global release on Wednesday, 21 February. This space-themed adventure promises to captivate audiences with its mix of action and intense character-driven storylines.
The show, crafted by Peter Harness, known for his work on “Wallander” and “The War of the Worlds”, explores the tumultuous journey of Jo (played by Rapace), an astronaut who encounters a catastrophe in space. Upon her return to Earth, she grapples with mysterious gaps in her memory, leading her on a quest to uncover the obscured realities of space exploration. The narrative delves into the darker aspects of the human psyche, with Jo’s mission centering on reclaiming her lost memories.
Joining Rapace and Banks in the cast are James D’Arcy, Julian Looman, William Catlett, Barbara Sukowa, and newcomers Rosie and Davina Coleman. The series boasts direction from the acclaimed Michelle MacLaren, a name synonymous with high-quality television through her work on “Shining Girls” and “Morning Wars”. Additionally, directors Oliver Hirschbiegel and Joseph Cedar contribute their notable expertise to the project.
“Constellation” is a production of Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV, with a lineup of executive producers including David Tanner, Tracey Scoffield, Caroline Benjo, Simon Arnal, Carole Scotta, and Justin Thomson. MacLaren, apart from directing the first two episodes, also serves as an executive producer alongside Rebecca Hobbs. Jahan Lopes joins as a co-executive producer for MacLaren Entertainment, while Harness is also an executive producer through Haunted Barn Ltd. The series was principally filmed in Germany, under the series production of Daniel Hetzer.
The initial three episodes of “Constellation” will be available on launch day, followed by weekly episodes every Wednesday until 27 March, exclusively on Apple TV+.
