FOXTEL and BINGE secure 26 nominations for the 2024 AACTA Awards

The Foxtel Group today confirmed it has secured a total of 26 nominations for the 2024 AACTA Awards, with all eligible BINGE and FOXTEL scripted and unscripted series being nominated for an award.

BINGE hit comedy series Colin From Accounts received an outstanding 10 nominations including Best Narrative Comedy Series, Best Acting in Comedy Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer along with first time nominee Helen Thomson, two nominations for Best Direction in Drama or Comedy, two nominations for Best Screenplay in Television, Best Editing and Best Casting in Television making it the most nominated comedy series this year and one of the most nominated shows.

Upright Season 2 has also been nominated for Best Narrative Comedy Series while BINGE’s first Australian Original Love Me Season 2 landed 5 nominations including once again for Best Drama Series, Best Lead Actor in a Drama – Hugo Weaving, Best Lead Actress in a Drama – Bojana Novakovic, Best Supporting Actress in a Drama – Heather Mitchell and for the first time Best Supporting Actor in a Drama – Bob Morley.

The Foxtel Group secured several nominations in the Reality, Entertainment, Comedy and Lifestyle categories and took out an impressive 4 of 6 nominations in the Best Lifestyle Program category for BINGE and FOXTEL productions The Great Australian Bake Off, Selling Houses Australia, Love It Or List It and Grand Designs Australia. The Great Australian Bake Off hosts were recognised with first-time nominations for Natalie Tran and the late Cal Wilson for Best Comedy Performer.

Gogglebox Australia has been nominated for a sixth year in a row for Best Factual Entertainment Program along with Best Reality nominations for BINGE Originals FBoy Island and The Real Housewives of Sydney and Best Comedy Entertainment Program FOXTEL Original RocKwiz.

The 2024 AACTA Awards will see another first with the inaugural Brian Walsh Award for Emerging Talent to be given out on the night. The Award, announced recently with Nicole Kidman, will honour his legacy and his contribution to the industry he was so passionate about.
