It’s a real tight race for second and third.

Channel 9

Nine again romp home with A Current Affair (660,000) and the penultimate episode of The Block (651,000), the latter pulling slightly smaller numbers than usual however it’s now all about Sunday’s auctions. The season five(!) premiere of Love Island Australia (168,000) draws a small linear audience (though again this show is primarily about the BVOD and catch-up audience revealed next week), and Resident Alien (42,000) lands to little fanfare at the end of the schedule.

Nine first in both primary (20%) and network (27.4%) rankings.

Channel 7

Home & Away (469,000) continued to be dependable for Seven, as did SAS Australia (381,000), though the latter struggling against Nine and the ABC’s offerings. The double ep season five premiere of S.W.A.T. (130,000; 109,000)
drew in fans only, as did the late evening airing of Chicago Fire (24,000).

Seven second in both primary (18.6%) and network (26.7%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Project (195,000 6:30pm; 295,000 7pm) remained buoyant for 10, in no small part for the ongoing competitiveness of The Masked Singer Australia (442,000 avg (364,000 show; 520,000 reveal)). Have You Been Paying Attention? (589,000) again dominated the later slot for its penultimate outing in 2023, which offered the
season finale of The Betoota Advocate Presents (215,000) a small boost. FBI: Most Wanted (56,000) curated a dedicated audience in the late night.

10 third in both primary (14.7%) and network (20.4%) rankings.

ABC

The ABC’s current affairs Monday delivered well – again. 7:30 (490,000) and Australian Story (509,000) dropped into second, with the later pairing of Four Corners (361,000) and Media Watch (362,000) down week-on-week and competing for third in the slot. Q+A (184,000) dropped significantly, before a repeat of The Newsreader (25,000) closed out the evening.

ABC fourth in both primary (13.8%) and network (18.8%) rankings.
