To run salt into Channel 10’s wounds, the ABC slips into third in the primary channel race again.

Channel 7

Home & Away (423,000) solid for Seven, as was MKR (575,000) however pipped at the post and lands second in primetime. Talking Finals (109,000) draws a reasonable crowd from AFL states, swapping slots with a repeat of Unbelievable Moments Caught On Camera (138,000). A repeat of Autopsy USA (24,000) drew diminishing audiences to the close.

Seven first in both primary (22.2%) and network (30.3%) rankings.

Channel 9

A Current Affair (599,000) continues unchallenged at 7pm for Nine, and the ramped up drama-rama on The Block (619,000) is helping it even at its lowest point in the week. Very few interested in Luxe Listings Sydney (147,000) or a repeat of Dream Listing Byron Bay (48,000 BNE/SYD), which was swapped for Footy Classified (142,000 MEL/ADL/PER) in AFL states. Even The Equalizer (77,000) struggled in finding its late-night crowd.

Nine second in both primary (20.3%) and network (28.3%) rankings.

ABC

After 7:30 (447,000), the ABC’s comedy night kicked in with Hard Quiz (477,000), Mother and Son (258,000), and WTFAQ (196,000) delivering very solid Australian content that was competitive but all down week-on-week, and not enough to shift out of fourth place in each slot. Starstruck (87,000) doesn’t draw a big linear audience (but is benefitting from streaming on iview), before repeats of Would I Lie To You? (88,000) and Death in Paradise (DNR) finished things up.

ABC third in primary (11.6%) and fourth in network (16.2%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Project (164,000 6:30pm; 313,000 7pm) lifted significantly for 10 mid-week before the season finale of Thank God You’re Here (463,000). The return has done applaudable figures but hasn’t completely landed with the audience – in part because it has been boxed in by two very competitive reality programs on its commercial rivals. Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers (218,000) finally finishes (we hope) before the season three finale of Five Bedrooms (91,000) helps open space for a range of new programming next week. So Help Me Todd (43,000) is apparently still drawing viewers.

10 fourth in primary (11.4%) and third in network (17.2%) rankings.

SBS

Not a lot of interest in Bettany Hughes: Eastern Turkey Treasures (118,000) on SBS, which didn’t help the double ep premiere of the very good While The Men Are Away (106,000 avg). Elvis’ Women (82,000) closed out the night with little fanfare.

SBS fifth in both primary (4.8%) and network (8%) rankings.
