Channel 7’s 2023 Spring Racing Carnival is in full swing, highlighting Australia’s paramount race day on Saturday, 14 October.

This spectacle marks the remarkable convergence of Melbourne and Sydney’s elite racing events.

Teaming up with Racing NSW and the Melbourne Racing Club, Channel 7 is set to broadcast an unprecedented day of racing. Both iconic races, The Everest and the Caulfield Guineas, will be simultaneously showcased, all without a paywall.

With a total purse reaching $38 million, viewers are in for a treat. The Everest, hailed as the most opulent turf race globally, alongside the distinguished three-year-old challenge, the Caulfield Guineas, are to commence by midday at the Royal Randwick and Caulfield Racecourses respectively.

This standout event signals an exhilarating spring season on Seven, encompassing Australia’s most esteemed thoroughbred racing meets crowned with a cascade of Group 1 races.

Leading the broadcast is Australia’s foremost sports commentator, Bruce McAvaney, helming 7Racing’s top-tier crew, which includes Hamish McLachlan, Emma Freedman, Jason Richardson, Katelyn McDonald, Emily Bosson, Lizzie Jelfs, and Kate Waterhouse.

In a statement, Lewis Martin, Managing Director of Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport, expressed:
