The tussle between Seven and Nine only continues to get more interesting.

Channel 9

A Current Affair (720,000) leaps out of the gates for Nine, followed by The Block (634,000) which, as the drama ratchets up, pulls in the primetime win. Missing Persons Investigation (301,000) finds a consistent-yet-not-competitive audience, before the night splits based on code through 100% Footy (43,000 BNE/SYD) and Footy Classified (105,000 MEL/ADL/PER). New Amsterdam (41,000) runs out the schedule.

Nine first in primary (20.8%) and second in network (27.9%) rankings.

Channel 7

Seven leaned in with Home & Away (455,000), however it was MKR (534,000) that pushed hard again though this time slipped neatly into second place. US dramas The Rookie (213,000), The Rookie: Feds (118,000), and Chicago Fire (38,000) entertain only the most strident of fans.

Seven second in primary (20.3%) and first in network (28.5%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (500,000) and Australian Story (505,000) kicked off the ABC’s current affairs evening doing solid numbers. Four Corners (443,000) and Media Watch (406,000) followed, up week-on-week, and even Q+A (212,000) saw a bump in the later night. The Creative Australia Awards 2023 (32,000) ran out the schedule for a few.

ABC third in primary (14.2%) and fourth in network (17.9%) rankings.

Channel 10

10 have a great start to their weeknight run with The Project (185,000 6:30pm; 314,000 7pm) offering its best, and The Masked Singer Australia (454,000 avg (381,000 show; 526,000 reveal)) revealing Sandra Sully and lifting week-on-week. Have You Been Paying Attention? (559,000) again comes home as the biggest show post-primetime, and the second biggest entertainment show of the night. Repeats of Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers (154,000), FBI: Most Wanted (64,000), and NCIS (45,000) don’t help to lift the nightly share however.

10 fourth in primary (13.2%) and third in network (19.3%) rankings.

Finding Your Roots (80,000) opened SBS’s account for the night, before a little escapism welcomed Britain’s Most Expensive Houses (40,000) and a repeat of World’s Most Luxurious Holidays (031,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (2.5%) and network (6.3%) rankings.
