Amazon Studios has unveiled its upcoming series, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, set to make its global debut in early 2024.
This highly anticipated series will be exclusive to Prime Video and accessible in a staggering 240 countries and territories around the world.
At the creative helm of this project are co-creators and executive producers Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane, known for their work on ‘Atlanta’ and ‘Fargo,’ respectively.
This new series is a fresh take on the 2005 New Regency film and features Donald Glover in the role of John Smith, opposite Maya Erskine, known for her work in ‘PEN15,’ who will be playing Jane Smith.
The story revolves around the enigmatic Smiths, John and Jane. Shedding their old lives, these two are united not only in matrimony but in espionage as well.
With each episode, viewers will accompany the couple on a new covert mission, as well as explore a fresh chapter in their unfolding relationship. A unique twist lies in the couple’s lack of an escape route: divorce is simply not on the cards for them.
