ABC and 10’s Thursday night schedules are in all sorts of trouble.
Channel 7
Solid numbers for Seven as they delivered another big Women’s World Cup night (shame about the 3-1 loss):
FIFA Women’s World Cup Pre-Game (412,000)
FIFA Women’s World Cup: AUS v NGA (898,000)
FIFA Women’s World Cup Post-Game (548,000).
The evening rounded out with a repeat of Air Crash Investigations (72,000).
Seven first in primary (26.9%) and second in network (34.7%) rankings.
Channel 9
Nine’s night was a glorious mess of sport after A Current Affair (601,000) finished. It meant some of the audience tuned in for:
Thursday Night NRL Live (260,000 (235,000 Nine BNE/SYD; 25,000 9Gem MEL/ADL/PER))
and Thursday Night Knock-Off (67,000 BNE/SYD)
or flipped over to watch
The Ashes: Fifth Test Day 1 S1 (487,000 (356,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER; 131,000 9Gem BNE/SYD)).
Nine second in primary (24.7%) and first in network (35%) rankings.
Channel 10
The Project (166,000 6:30pm; 245,000 7pm) delivered its lowest numbers of the week, followed by Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly Australia (323,000) which is still really struggling to build its audience. Seemingly endless repeats of Law & Order: SVU (139,000), The Cheap Seats (76,000), and, yes – another ep of Law & Order: SVU (55,000) complete 10’s schedule.
10 third in both primary (7.5%) and network (12.6%) rankings.
ABC
7:30 (349,000) and Foreign Correspondent (195,000) led the ABC’s now traditional slow Thursday, which only got quieter with A Life In Ten Pictures (128,000) and Grand Designs New Zealand (111,000). Repeats of Art Works (44,000) and War on Waste (26,000) go gently into the good night.
ABC fourth in both primary (7.3%) and network (11.1%) rankings.
SBS
SBS offer a quieter night, with Inside Sydney Airport (89,000), Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy (88,000), and Kin (34,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (2.9%) and network (6.5%) rankings.
