Cricket enthusiasts are gearing up for the fourth Ashes Test, available for live viewing, free of charge on the 9 Network from 7.30pm AEST Wednesday.

The fierce series, unfolding at Old Trafford in Manchester, sees England needing a win to keep their hopes alive, while Australia leads 2-1 and aims to prevent back-to-back losses to clinch the series.

Cameron Green and Josh Hazlewood are confirmed starters for this crucial Ashes match. Australia will compete in a Test without a specialist spinner for the first time in over a decade.

Scott Boland and Todd Murphy are being rested, with Green returning after a hamstring injury kept him out of the Leeds Test.

Australia’s confirmed XI features David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitch Marsh, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins (c), and Josh Hazlewood.

Mitch Marsh’s phenomenal century in Leeds secured his spot, allowing for Green’s return and providing captain Pat Cummins with five pace bowling options.

Roz Kelly will host Nine’s commentary team, including former Australian captain Mark Taylor, Ashes victor Ian Healy, and ex-international cricketer Callum Ferguson.

Louise Ransome joins Mark Taylor on the ground, while 9News reporter Sam Djodan will provide updates from Old Trafford.

Mark Taylor said:

“Australia have another chance to wrap up their first Ashes series win in England since 2001 in Manchester.”

“However, England have renewed confidence and belief after their tight win in the Third Test at Headingley. Australia need runs from their big guns, namely David WarnerMarnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith who were kept quiet last time out by the English bowling attack.”
