With 7News Spotlight relegated to the later timeslot it was never going to be competitive, least of all beat 60 Mintues…

Channel 7

Dancing With The Stars (614,000) performed solidly, lifting again for Seven in its first semi-final, though it was pipped by MasterChef’s finale. 7News Spotlight (351,000) saw a slight lift on last week and managed to win its later timeslot though was well behind 60 Minutes in the public affairs race. Born To Kill? (105,000) and Autopsy USA (44,000) offered a small audience some interest.

Seven first in both primary (21.1%) and network (28.4%) rankings.

Channel 9

60 Minutes (556,000) lifted slightly on last week to get closer but remained behind DWTS, and then Nine dropped the next episode of The Murder of Lyn Dawson (337,000) and a repeat of their special Charlie Teo Investigation (234,000). Then it was all about the Wimbledon 2023 Men’s Final (253,000) into the late night.

Nine second in both primary (19.6%) and network (27.7%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Sunday Project (174,000 6:30pm; 279,000 7pm) saw a small lift as it led into the season fifteen finale of MasterChef Australia (656,000 (614,000 finale; 698,000 winner announced)) for 10, which managed to take the primetime in on its away out. Repeats of Location, Location, Location (160,000) and NCIS: Hawaii (57,000) filled out the schedule with few viewers.

10 third in both primary (14.8%) and network (20.1%) rankings.

ABC

Restoration Australia (417,000) laid a solid base on the ABC for the excellent premiere of Bay of Fires (384,000), which drew a reasonable if soft audience on linear broadcast (expect it to pick up in Total TV next week). The Beast Must Die (149,000) dropped on its lead-in, followed by repeats of Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? (39,000) and Small Axe (DNR).

ABC fourth in both primary (11%) and network (14.4%) rankings.
