Nine in a purple patch with sport as they have to juggle three big sporting events to broadcast at the same time.

Channel 9

A Current Affair (584,000) drives home its lowest audience of the week for Nine, before the evening splits THREE WAYS into:
Thursday Night NRL Live (217,000 BNE/SYD)
Thursday Night Knock-Off (78,000 BNE/SYD)
OR
The Ashes: Third Test Day 1 S1 (711,000 (421,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER; 290,000 9Gem BNE/SYD))
OR
Wimbledon 2023: Day 4 (45,000 9Go!).

Nine first in both primary (25.6%) and network (39.5%) rankings.

Channel 7

Seven also have a broken night that rolled out like this:
Home & Away (345,000 (247,000 Seven BNE/SYD/PER; 98,000 7TWO MEL/ADL))
then
a repeat of Highway Patrol Special (189,000 (162,000 Seven BNE/SYD/PER; 27,000 7mate MEL/ADL))
Britain’s Got Talent (114,000 (89,000 Seven BNE/SYD/PER; 25,000 7mate MEL/ADL))
OR
Seven’s AFL: Thursday Night Football (312,000 (239,000 Seven MEL/ADL; 73,000 7mate BNE/SYD/PER))
and everything returns with
Fantasy Island (38,000).

Seven second in both primary (17.8%) and network (25.9%) rankings.

Channel 10

The Project (167,000 6:30pm; 253,000 7pm) slips to its smallest of the week, ensuring MasterChef Australia (368,000) does the same. The finale of The First Inventors (115,000) was never going to lift above what it did with that lead-in. Repeats of The Cheap Seats (74,000) and Law & Order: SVU (68,000) keep a reasonably buoyant if small audience into the late night.

10 third in both primary (7.9%) and network (13.4%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (343,000) and A Life In Ten Pictures (183,000) struggle as a pair on a Thursday, and that largely left Grand Designs New Zealand (165,000) and One Plus One – The Elders (69,000) to build an audience out of nowhere by themselves. Repeats of Art Works (30,000) and The Black Hand (DNR) close out a quiet night for Aunty.

ABC fourth in both primary (7.8%) and network (11.7%) rankings.

SBS

SBS fifth in both primary (5%) and network (9.5%) rankings.
