The Premier League returns in all its glory this weekend on Optus Sport and features two of the biggest club derbies in the world.

Beginning on Saturday 14 January, Manchester United go head-to-head with Manchester City at Old Trafford, looking to avenge their defeat in the nine-goal thriller earlier in the season.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, rivals Tottenham Hotspur and league leaders Arsenal will battle it out in the North London Derby. It’s worth noting that Harry Kane is just two goals short of becoming the Spurs’ all-time top goal scorer, so this is definitely a game to watch.

There’s also plenty more to watch from the Premier League on Optus Sport this January when Manchester City faces Tottenham (20 January), before Liverpool renew their rivalry with Chelsea (21 January) and Manchester United travel to Arsenal (23 January) – all taking place across four bumper days.

The Women’s Super League also returns to Optus Sport this weekend, and with it comes another derby with huge title implications. Second-placed Arsenal welcomes table-toppers Chelsea as Matildas teammates collide with Steph Catley, and Caitlin Foordwill be hoping to give Sam Kerr a run for her money.

These teams represent just some of the international talent  set to grace our shores later this year as the FIFA Women’s World Cup lands in Australia and New Zealand.

Over in LaLiga, the race for the top four heats up as high-flying Real Sociedad takes on Athletic Club and Atletico Madrid looks to bounce back from their defeat to Barcelona against newly-promoted Almeria.
