Australian acting royalty, Nicole Kidman has joined the cast of Taylor Sheridan’s next highly-anticipated Paramount+ series “Lioness.”
Lioness follows the character of Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira), a young Marine who is recruited by the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to bring down a terrorist organisation from within.
Kidman will be portraying Kaitlyn Meade, the CIA’s Senior Supervisor, in the show that is based on a real-life CIA program.
In addition to Kidman, the cast of “Lioness” includes Zoe Saldaña, Jill Wagner, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur, and Jonah Wharton.
Kidman, who is known for her critically-acclaimed film roles, has been making waves in the television industry in recent years.
She received both the Emmy and Golden Globe for best actress in a limited series for her role and executive producer credit on HBO’s “Big Little Lies.”
Kidman has also starred in shows such as “The Undoing” on HBO and “Nine Perfect Strangers” on Hulu. In 2012, she received an Emmy nod for her role in the HBO film “Hemingway & Gellhorn.”
Sheridan, the creator of “Lioness,” will also be serving as an executive producer on the show. It was recently announced that he will be taking on the role of showrunner as well.
“Lioness” is set to premiere in Australia on Paramount+.
