Can Seven’s former cooking juggernaut right the ship and make a comeback?

Nine have a much better Wednesday than they’ve had since Origin finished. A Current Affair (653,000) still strong at 7pm, and while The Block (749,000) has slipped again on the previous night it is still head and shoulders in first place. The premiere of After The Verdict (409,000) saw an encouraging audience tune in which should lift in a week with solid catch-up and BVOD numbers. Family Law (156,000) and a repeat of Chicago Med (52,000) don’t do much in the later evening.
Nine first in both primary (23.3%) and network (31.9%) rankings.

Home & Away (477,000) Seven’s best again, however MKR (471,000) is coming knocking, building on the last two nights of not great numbers yet still in a distant third. Part two of Hopelessly Devoted: Olivia Newton-John (218,000) draws a small audience, and the late night airing of Chicago Fire (58,000) does similar.
Seven second in both primary (20.7%) and network (28.4%) rankings.

The 7:30 (450,000)/Win The Week (266,000) double slide into third in primetime for the ABC, as the audience dips week on week for Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (412,000) and Aftertaste (164,000). A repeat of Adam Hills: The Last Leg (137,000), 8 Nights Out West (41,000), and a repeat of Spicks and Specks (40,000) also do little to draw late night audiences.
ABC third in both primary (11.2%) and network (15.9%) rankings.

10’s Wednesday falls apart with The Project (229,000 6:30pm; 333,000 7pm) continuing to underperform, and Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod (308,000) ticking up on last week however still way off the pace. An evening of US drama and comedy with Ghosts (159,000), a repeat of Bull (102,000), and Good Sam (36,000) does little to help.
10 fourth in both primary (8.8%) and network (15.3%) rankings.

Another quiet night for SBS, with New York: The City That Never Sleeps (174,000), a repeat of Secret Scotland (134,000), and Too Close (39,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.4%) and network (8.4%) rankings.
