If the sport is struggling…what will the commercial networks do?!

Right form the start on Seven it’s a messed-up schedule based on the footy: Home & Away (324,000 (213,000 Seven BNE/SYD; 111,000 7TWO MEL/ADL/PER)); Seven’s AFL: Thursday Night Footy (448,000 (355,000 Seven MEL/ADL/PER; 93,000 7mate BNE/SYD))
Britain’s Got Talent (136,000 Seven BNE/SYD); a repeat of MOVIE: Crazy Rich Asians (107,000 Seven BNE/SYD); and then it all comes back together again (basically) with Born To Kill (39,000).
Seven first in both primary (22.6%) and network (32.4%) rankings.

A Current Affair (540,000) leads Nine’s night before it also fractures nationally for the footy: Thursday Night NRL Live (247,000 Nine BNE/SYD); Thursday Night Knock-Off (68,000 Nine BNE/SYD); RBT (176,000 (135,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER; 41,000 9Gem BNE/SYD)); a repeat of Paramedics (146,000 (112,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER; 33,000 9Gem BNE/SYD)); New Amsterdam (62,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER); and then it all comes back together for The Equalizer (52,000).
Nine second in both primary (17.1%) and network (25.1%) rankings.

The Project (231,000 6:30pm; 323,000 7pm) slips again for 10, so thankfully they’ve got MasterChef Australia (473,000) which picks up the primetime win and their overall night. Law & Order: SVU (191,000) does reasonably, and the rest of the night is filled with repeats of The Cheap Seats (95,000) and Five Bedrooms (48,000)
10 third in both primary (11%) and network (17.3%) rankings.

7:30 (426,000) and Foreign Correspondent (249,000) slip a little for the ABC, however Q+A (248,000) sees a bump on last week. Courtney Act’s One Plus One (126,000) also lifts, before a repeat of Ithaka: A Fight To Free Julian Assange (29,000)
ABC fourth in both primary (10.3%) and network (16.3%) rankings.

A reasonable enough all-new Thursday for SBS, with Scenic Coastal Walks with Kate Humble (98,000), House of Maxwell (139,000), and D.I. Ray (98,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.7%) and network (8.9%) rankings.
