The submissions for Pitch On Demand saw over 2,000 registrations vying for a pitch meeting with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and Stan.
Today Screen Producers Australia (SPA) and Screen Australia announce the SPA members whose Pitch On Demand submissions have been selected for pitch meetings with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and Stan, the three participating streamers for the inaugural Pitch On Demand initiative.
Pitch On Demand launched in November as an exciting new premium initiative aiming to fast-track opportunities for content producers to pitch authentic, meaningful, and imaginative projects direct to key executives from streamers actively pursuing Australian content.
The inaugural Pitch On Demand saw over 2,000 registrations for live commissioner briefings from Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and Stan who outlined their current slate requirements and provided valuable insight into what they are looking to commission in the future.
Post briefings, SPA members had the opportunity to submit a tailored pitch to the streamers in the hope their project would secure them a live pitch meeting. SPA received 732 pitches from 340 members.
SPA CEO Matthew Deaner said:

We were confident Pitch On Demand would cultivate new business relationships for our members, and after seeing the calibre of the submissions we remain hopeful it has created opportunities for our members to secure investment for Australian productions.”
Of the 732 pitches submitted the 17 applicants below have secured a pitch meeting with participating streamers.

Due to the success of Pitch On Demand, SPA have announced Pitch On Demand @ SF36, the second instalment of the initiative featuring the ABC and SBS, which will culminate in physical pitch meetings at SCREEN FOREVER in March 2022. Pitch On Demand @ SF36 is a SPA Connect Domestic Market opportunity and is only available to SCREEN FOREVER delegates holding a Gold Coast pass.
