One of this year’s most talked about shows, Gossip Girl, returns for the second instalment of season one today on Binge and Foxtel.

The brand-new series took us back to the Upper East Side finding a new generation of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark. The very first episode flipped the original series on its head by revealing Gossip Girl’s identity.

The remaining six episodes of Season one will continue to explore just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years.

The series stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith. Kristen Bell, who was the voice of the anonymous blogger in the original series, returned as the voice of an anonymous Instagram account to narrate the new series.
