It’s a high point for the franchise that has struggled all season but finally pays off for the Network when it needs it most.
A Current Affair (671,000) starts as Nine’s best and will always be thus at this time of year. RBT (468,000) slips into third in primetime, followed by a repeat of Australian Crime Stories (372,000) and Love Island Australia (176,000), which flesh out the later night.
Nine first in both primary (18%) and network (26.3%) rankings.
Home and Away (512,000) is Seven’s best by far, as Big Brother Australia VIP (340,000) picks up on the past two weeks to deliver its best ahead of its finale tomorrow night…but still lands fourth in the slot. A double episode of 9-1-1 (195,000; 172,000) rounds out the evening.
Seven second in both primary (16.3%) and network (24%) rankings.
The Project (260,000 6:30pm; 470,000 7pm) scores a bounce from Celebrity MasterChef Australia (753,000 avg (700,000 finale; 805,000 winner)) and start’s 10’s night pretty well. Shame about the 6pm-7pm hour, and everything after it, including a double repeat of FBI: Most Wanted (248,000; 128,000).
10 third in both primary (15.9%) and network (23%) rankings.
7:30 (592,000) and Australian Story (551,000) bring home second place for the ABC, though Universe with Brian Cox (342,000) slips a little on last week. Media Watch (343,000) picks up a little though, as The Wimbledon Kidnapping (212,000) premieres to average-ish late night figures.
ABC fourth in both primary (13.1%) and network (17.6%) rankings.
All repeats on SBS: Britain’s Most Historic Towns (136,000), Tony Robinson’s World By Rail (189,000) and 24 Hours In Emergency (134,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.7%) and network (9.1%) rankings.
