Michael Portillo returns tonight with his latest travel series on SBS.
In this new six-part series, Michael Portillo, the former British Defence Secretary turned broadcaster, embarks on a south-west coastal pilgrimage, travelling through Devon and Cornwall, and visiting places of interest and meeting local people along the way.
In the premiere episode, Michael begins in north Devon under the shadow of England’s highest sea cliff, the 3oo-metre high Great Hangman, and finishes up on the stunning three-mile golden sands of Woolacombe.

Along the way, Michael is joined by best-selling author Raynor Winn.
