HAYU, the all-reality TV and ad-free subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) streaming service has confirmed details of a new content acquisition deal the NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock.
The new deal will see reality TV lovers based in Australia will have exclusive, first access to several new titles first, exclusively via hayu. The new titles include:
- Below Deck: Down Under – The beloved franchise is setting sail to a new location as the crews say ‘ahoy’ in Australia.
- The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls’ Trip – The hotly anticipated mash-up of fan favourite The Real Housewives franchise sees multiple women from different shows head to a tropical location for an epic getaway filled with sun, sand and shenanigans. The cast includes: Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills); Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga (New Jersey); Luann De Lesseps and Ramona Singer (New York City); and Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey (Atlanta).
- Unidentified with Demi Lovato –This new show will see the world-renowned musician, alongside Demi’s best friend Matthew and sister Dallas, try to find out the truth about UFOs.
- The Real Housewives of Miami –The Housewives franchise is heading back down to the Sunshine State.
Further acquisitions will be confirmed in the coming months.
Additionally (and as part of the same licencing deal), hayu acquired the much-anticipated docu-series Vanderpump Dogs (Season 1) which became available to stream on the service in June.
This new series follows the stories behind the sweetest and most outrageous dog adoptions at the renowned pet adoption shop in West Hollywood owned by Vanderpump Rules and Overserved star, businesswoman and restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump.
Targeting the broad base of viewers who are fans of the reality genre, hayu offers over 8,000 episodes of top reality TV content.
The service offers extensive choice, with a wide variety of unscripted sub-genres in English language including: Home and Design, Dating, Cooking, Crime, and Fashion. hayu’s breadth of content uniquely super-serves reality fans, and subscribers don’t have to worry about spoilers as the vast majority of U.S. shows are available on hayu the same day as their U.S. broadcast.
