Voting is open for all TV categories in the 2021 AACTA Awards

TV round one voting is now open and will determine the nominees for the 2021 AACTA Awards. Voting closes 5:00pm AEDT, Friday October 8, 2021. 

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) has officially opened voting across all TV Award categories. Round one voting will determine the nominees for the 2021 AACTA Awards. This year, and in a first for the TV categories, AACTA have opened voting to ALL Professional and General Members, with technical craft awards limited to accredited Professional members only.

New in 2021, and in recognition of our world leading comedians and creators, we’re expanding the suite of awards that celebrates Australia’s unique sense of humour, in all its screen forms. With some of the world’s most revered favourites and most exciting emerging stand ups hailing from our shores, AACTA are very proud to launch the Best Stand Up Comedy Special award this year. In addition to the introduction of Best Short Form Comedy, Best Narrative Comedy Series has also been added this year, and the Best Comedy Performer category expands to 8 nominees, encompassing all genders.

Round one voting will determine the nominees across the following major TV awards:

  • Best Children’s Program
  • Best Comedy Performer
  • Best Comedy Program
  • Best Direction in Drama or Comedy
  • Best Direction in Non-Fiction TV
  • Best Documentary or Factual Program
  • Best Drama Series
  • Best Entertainment Program
  • Best Factual Entertainment Program
  • Best Lifestyle Program
  • Best Lead Actress in a Drama
  • Best Lead Actor in a Drama
  • Best Miniseries or Telefeature
  • Best Narrative Comedy Series
  • Best Reality Program
  • Best Screenplay in TV
  • Best Stand Up Special
  • Best Supporting Actress in a Drama
  • Best Supporting Actor in a Drama

AACTA Members can view the field of entries and access the guidebooks via AACTA TV. Voting for the film awards will open on Friday October 8.
