The Seven Network will bring fans up to speed with every angle of major motorsport across the globe with an exciting new weekly program, 7TH GEAR, which roars into life today.

Every Monday for the next 12 weeks, 7TH GEAR will cover all the latest news, race highlights and opinions in the world of motorsport, taking viewers inside the biggest stories in Australia and abroad.

Hosted by leading motorsport broadcaster Chris Stubbs, long-time Supercars driver and son of a gun Jack Perkins, and 2007 Supercars Champion Garth Tander, 7TH GEAR’s first episode will be shown at 4.30pm today nationally on 7mate, 7plus and 7Sport social platforms.

Encores of each episode will be shown that same week on 7mate on Monday nights and at 2.00pm Wednesdays, while episodes will be available via catch-up on demand on 7plus and 7Sport.

Special guests will join the show and 7TH GEAR will also talk exclusively to some of the biggest names in motorsport from all around the world.

As Australians take centre stage in international motorsport like never before, 7TH GEAR will have all the major categories covered, including Supercars, TCR, Formula 1, IndyCar, MotoGP, NASCAR, Rally, Extreme E and much more.

Stubbs, who has more than 15 years’ experience across international and Australian motorsport broadcasting, said 7TH GEAR would cater for the growing passion for motorsport in our country.

“This is a golden age for Australian motorsport on the global stage, with the likes of Daniel Riccardo, Jack Miller, Will Power and Molly Taylor all race winners, and the next generation of stars such as Oscar Piastri and Remy Gardner already flying the flag ,”

– he said.

“At home, it’s an exciting time too. There’s a real changing of the guard in Supercars with the GOAT Jamie Whincup retiring and the Camaro about to enter the fray. Add in TCR and its impressive range of support categories and we’re absolutely spoilt for choice.

“There’s so much to celebrate and discuss and, as we know, motorsport is never short of a storyline.”

Every Thursday, an additional segment, Spare Parts, will be released exclusively on 7Sport social platforms, where the 7TH GEAR team will delve into some of motorsport’s burning issues in more depth.
