It’s not quite what we’re seeing with the current celebrity trend in reality, however.
The Herald Sun are reporting that when the cameras start to roll on the fourth season of LEGO MASTERS AUSTRALIA the producers will be introducing a twist – each team will have a celebrity as an additional member.
Unlike other celebrity seasons of reality programs where the entire cast of contestants is filled out with people with varying levels of fame, this mixture of celebrities with regular contestants could prove to be a significant point of difference for Nine’s family-friendly reality TV success.
TV Blackbox previously reported host Hamish Blake has already signed on for two more series (2022 and 2023), and he has successfully convinced Nine to move production from Melbourne to Sydney after he and wife Zoe Foster Blake relocated their family to the NSW capital.
With COVID-19 lockdowns in both capital cities production schedules have proven to be difficult to maintain. In 2020 the production team worked in a bubble to ensure the series could be filmed to deliver in 2021, and it is expected similar measures will be take for this series.
Season four of Lego Masters Australia will air on Nine in 2022.
Nine have been contacted for additional comment.
I love this show but if it’s going to be ruined by going down the Z grade celebrity route then sadly I won’t be watching anymore.😔😔
